tried it for lunch today, special on WED is fried chicken and its a best in the city contender. greaseless, crispy, seasoned and juicy
mac & cheese & black eyed peas also excellent

I give it a year before it's on the Restaurant closure list...2 tops
Just like every other restaurant that has been there over the last 10 years.

Their parking lot is normally slammed during lunch and the food is 100 times better then the city pork there.

probably, but the exchequer lasted a good while.
it was packed for lunch, but i imagine its pretty lean at dinnertime especially in the winter when it gets dark so early
it was good, i was pleasantly surprised

I just think that location, like a few others around town, is cursed. I may be completely wrong on this one but nothing seems to stick there for too long.
ETA: It's been at least a year or two since I have been to the original (parents live maybe 400 yards away from them), but they needed some serious work to their menu.

Yea he should shut down at 2 or have an amazing happy hour special that starts at 4 for that area.

Samual's was there for eons until he died. The Echequer had dreadful food, City Pork was packed, but closed due to a corp breakup. KC will likely do well, there is a lot of demand from Industriplex trying to avoid the chains of Seigen.

He did great because he knew what the place was made for. Good breakfast, open early, good lunches and burgers and close at 2. Friendly staff and free newspapers. I ate there once a week for years.

KCs sucks. Bunch of babyboomers serving mediocre food

Just about everyone I ever took to Samuel's wanted to go back.
