I live in the area but haven't been there yet. I'll give it a shot. Typically we go to Swinging Door down in Richmond. The food is good and I just like the atmosphere of the place to be honest.

I’ve heard if you don’t mind venturing a tad more south, Harlem Road is the place to go.

Brett's is very good. He's a BBQ protege of Louie Mueller.

Can't believe he won't expand soon. He's in a hole in the wall with limited parking and still sells out early. Pretty easy to access off I-10 though.

Highly recommended.

Absolutely.

Get there early. He sells out on stuff fairly quickly.

Depending on the day you go, they have specials. HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Pork Belly Burnt Ends on Saturday.

Enjoy.

I'm here

About to eat

Severe lack of parking is enough for me not to come back

Have heard nothing but good about Daddy Duncan but he's almost inaccessible (caters lots of private events). He's supposed to open a b&m this year maybe?

Daddy Duncan's if you find where he's serving.

Brett's best B&M in the area.

Yes, it can compete with any place mentioned as a must try in the Houston area. Parking and room inside the place is the only down fall to Bretts.

Brooks Place BBQ is a trailer set up in the Kroger’s Parking lot by Barker Cypress and FM 529.
It’s surprisingly consistent. Definitely worth a try.
If you’re passing through the city try Truth BBQ

Looks good. How'd you like it?

I hit up Feges for lunch today. Always legit.

Tried it a few weeks ago and thought it was very good. Fatty brisket was tasty!
