Do they have a specialty?

Their boudin is great when compared to anyone but Billy’s, but what they really excel at is their fried stuff. They do this maple roll-up thing that’s just ridiculously good. Their boudin egg rolls and similar items are all outstanding. They’re also known for their seafood boudin.

Billy’s is still the king when it comes to regular boudin and boudin balls, however.

There’s another Hebert’s on Ambassador Caffery in Broussard, too. I haven’t been inside, though,

Feel free to go back, but get down next time, and check out what dey got.

The Maurice location or this one, about the same distance from me......i'm a regular for their seasoned ribeye steaks, stuffed chickens, boudin, sausage, and their chicken salad is decent (wife prefers Zoe's).

I need to check out this Cajun Market Meats in Youngsville. Heleaux grocery on Verot is very close to us, but recently closed for repairs......anybody know what's up with that?

The vacant lot on the corner of the south frontage road. Used to be a Chevron before Rita. Basically between Shoney’s and Walgreens. Don’t know if it’s true, just rumor I heard.

Dang that would be a great location. That lot has been vacant for a while been wondering if anyone would put something there. I know they wanted a lot of money for the lot.

Supposedly around $850k is what it went for. We looked at it for a few deals but the Ziegler foundation was thinking it was worth $1.5m or so at the time.

That is definitely gonna put a serious hurt on Bourque’s business especially if Kartchners opens at 6:30am.

I often question if this is a hobby for one of the Bourque kids. They don’t open until 8 and close at 4 on weekdays, and close on 3 on Saturday. They’re losing out on the after-work crowd and breakfast business, especially on Friday. If they don’t expand their hours, you are correct - Kartchner’s will kill their business.
