Warehouse #1, cypress inn, cormier's, melvyn's, waterfront grill, boudreaux's, mohawk seafood tavern (the original), crawfish city, the kitchen, pickle barrel, samurai, taco bandido. Just to name a few.

We had some pretty good Greek fare at a place on 18th last trip home..
Atenia? Athens Grill? Something like that. Excellent greek salad, good gyro meat. And the hummus stands out in my memory--but for the life of me, I can't rememeber if it's 'cause it was awesome or awful!! I just know it was at one very end of the scale!

do NOT, by any means go to the WM location.
We took all our extended family there for a celebration. The food was nasty, the service was disgraceful, and after we got out of there, Mr.Momma started counting up entrees and we had paid for about 3 more people than we even had at the tables!!!

do you know the name of the restaurant on a corner of N18th between the library and Haneline's.... used to be known for a pretty good steak, I believe. And I also think it was owned by Victor Casio as well?
Is the Chateau still any good?

I'd like to, but I'm a picky sob and I wouldn't be able to do those restaurants justice . Momma, I've never stepped foot in the mohawk in west monroe. I love the old school atmosphere of the original too much.

well don't bother! I still can't talk the Mr. into going to the original after that friggin' fiasco in WM!!

think you are talking about what used to be Cascio's, then later became Crescent City Connections, and I think is or recently was Bubba Louigi's (sp).

Yeah, I'm thinking it used to just be called Cascio's, and then the one up on Louisville was the Chateau. Thanks!

by the way, TulaneLSU, I don't really pay attention to many of your posts, but I just read one on the OT board about guns and figured out why titled this thread the way you did. You are an idiot and a douche.

You're commenting in a thread I started about a thread I started in another forum saying, "I don't really pay attention to many of your posts."

laugh all you want, but I don't pay attention to many of your posts, the title of that one caught my eye, not who posted it. So your attempt at irony isn't really all that funny, but that's not surprising.

Thank God! So it was named Cascio's, as well? I just remember a fabulous steak there. Thought I was going crazy(er)!!

It wasn't Victor that owned that cascio's on 18th. I forgot the name of the guy that owned that one, but he had a son with the last name Fontana. Both the owner & his son suck.
