Hate to ask, but where is Jax Bar. Since I have to ask I have a feeling I'm not going to be interested in going.

ETA Is it in the Jax Brewery bldg? duh

Was cool for a week, got predictably insanely popular and even more cheesy, and that's after they enforced a "dress code." Its Jimmy's circa 2002, but bigger and with a ridiculous and comical 19-30 demographic.

great !! the demographic that can't hold its liquor !

i had friends that went there last night. they turned around when they told them that at the door

Really? Maybe if we were talking about the 17 year olds at the Frat House. :eyeroll: What about the 55 year old dude I saw at Bouche that got escorted out because he was belligerently yelling at his 28 year old dime piece, 30 minutes before I went to Jax? :stopyellingafteryoursecondjackgramps: GTFO with this nonsense. I only made the age comment because its hilarious to me that the clientele spans probably more than a decade in age.

the $10 cover started long before that. I went there about a month ago and the cover was $10. Pretty sure I read on here that it was no cover so I was shocked when I got to the door.

ETA: those drink prices are fricking ridiculous. It was like $27 for three regular drinks!!

I think his prices are evolving quickly with business. I went a week or so after it opened. It was free to get in and the crowd was transplanted from F&M's/Fat Harry's/Bogies. Drinks were $5 (I think).

Now it looks like ALL of that has changed. Not surprising. It's a lot more enticing to make the quick bucks from the guidos and $30K millionaires who love trendy new shite than it is to keep prices reasonable and encourage normal college kids to go there.

Yeah, but who wants normal college kids who drink 2 fruity drinks then throw up?
