In town tonight and tomorrow night for the Bert Kreischer Fully Loaded Festival tomorrow. Stopped at Saltine for lunch since I went once a few years ago passing through, walked next door to Babalu for a drink before checking in my hotel.
Tell me some places to check out, please

Amerigo, Lou’s Full Serve, Sal n Phil’s for seafood, Kristo’s in Madison for “ameri-greek” (could also do Keifer’s in downtown Jackson, but I prefer Kristo’s). Sal and Mookie’s for pizza, Bonsai for hibachi/sushi, Trace Grill in Ridgeland is a good meat and three type place
ETA: I’ll also add Beagle Bagel in Highland village. I like the chicken salad panini and the beagle panini. Broad Street Bakery also has a good breakfast and a good sandwich menu.

Iron Horse Grill
I'm glad to hear that place is still kicking. I spent a lot of time in Jackson between 88-98. The Iron Horse was a nice spot. Food was good and the building was pretty cool. Is Poet's still kicking on Lakeland Dr? Downed lots of beers and caught a few hotties as well.

Iron Horse is in a bad part of town after dark.
Elvie’s, Koestler Prime, and Caet are top 3. You can’t go wrong with any. Manship and Lou’s are other options that are close.
Edit: try Highball Lanes in Belhaven. Should have a good crowd on a Saturday.
