Posted by BugAC quote: I still think he used the same American hop varieties. But I think he may use an English ale yeast, so it actually could be considered a hybrid. I believe he used their house english ale yeast in the primary. And finished it off with an american ale yeast. Someone on here was saying something about that.

When i spoke to him at the wiltz tasting, he said the biggest differences were more hops and he used two yeast strains.

Seeing as how Steins is closed and Rouses and Elio's won't have it out until next week, looks like it will be WF.

Sisyphus is pretty under-rated. That's a really nice barleywine. I have a bottle from 2010-2013 I want to have a vertical tasting with

I have a few bottles of Sisyphus in the back of the fridge... 2010 and 2011 I think.

I also have some older Brooklyn Monster and SN Bigfoot.

It might be time for a Barleywine showdown!

I still have a Sisyphus you brought me back a few years ago and a bigfoot and a barrel aged bigfoot.

I like barleywines ok, but they aren't my favorite.
