Istrouma Brewing - Moving to Nashville, dividing/selling land, auctioning contents

Still bummed to see this place close up, it was probably our favorite brewery spot to go with the family and hang out.

I guess the plan to sell it all and put up a DSLD-type neighborhood fell through.

No one wants the beer

I think the beer and food were both solid. Not beer that I would take home, but plenty good enough to still consume, especially with a great venue like they had. And keep in mind you were also paying for locally grown and sourced and relatively organic type foods and drinks, not mass produced stuff. I think they did good with what they had when I was there, but obviously the business end didn’t work if they couldn’t keep it operating or sell it as a whole

the true issue was they could never quite figure out the service and how to do it efficiently. With even a mild crowd, you were looking at waiting in line for 20minutes to get a beer. Didn't help some wanted to taste test 4 different beers before ordering

I was fine with the food and pizza being overpriced because the kids could run around and be entertained. So yeah it sucks because it was a a nice concept and one we don't really have here.

I suspect court to table hurt them as well. Easier drive and kids can play out in the court yard there
