I'm a big fan of the light lager.
Easy good tasting light beer.

It is not distributed in Louisiana so if you are purchasing it anywhere it's illegal. It's also not that great.

I think beef o bradys in Alexandria sells it but that's a restaurant so I doubt they would sell a six pack or anything.

Not sure why the hate it gets from some. I drink a pretty diverse range of beers and think its a pretty good choice for a light, drink all day, tailgating kind of beer. And I import mine via SUV whenever I go to the Gump or Gaytor beaches.

Yeungling is awesome. I'm in Ohio for a little for work and that's all I've been drinking. I also have been drinking Great Lakes "Dortmunder Gold"

The furthest south it is sold would be Georgia or Florida.

No and they aren't even close to getting distribution out here. I just had a conversation over FB a couple weeks ago with whoever runs their page. My Inbev rep says they can't get Yeungling to agree to let them distribute it for them.

I used to turn my nose at it until I realized it costs about the same as Bud Light and tastes significantly better. If I'm goin to a large gathering where there are likely a number of mooching strangers, it's almost always what I bring. Bothers me a lot less to see Yuengling disappear than it does something really good.

I introduced the owner of the company I work for and he immediately said he wanted this in all of his stores. Too bad...

Best beer you can get for the money. It is a good session beer that is the same cost as BMC products and significantly cheaper than any craft session beer.

Hate?

I don't think it is hate to say that it is nothing special at all. For the money it is fine, but once it comes to Louisiana, you won't like it near as much after about 6 months.

I agree 100% It has it's place- beach, tail gating, after cutting the grass, etc.

Not to mention it is America's oldest brewery.

Nobody is saying it is a special beer. It is just a solid beer that is way better than its competitor's at its price point.

And I don't see anyone "hating" on it.

I hear a lot of this excuse for it..."For the price, its great"....Seems like the last time I was in AL, it was about $8-$9/6-pack, or am I mistaken?

I had it at Chimes about 3.5 years ago, not sure if they still carry it.

I only ordered once because it was something like 4$ a bottle...not worth it.

I think it is a bit cheaper here, but it is usually more than bud or miller, etc.

And like I said I can get lots of good beers for the same price as Yuengling.
