Is this frozen food still safe to eat?

Last weekend I bought a box of frozen cod filets from Sam's. We love those things. Anyway after driving home I forgot the box and left it in my car and I'd guess it was there maybe 20 minutes before I remembered and put it in the freezer inside. I'd guesstimate the time between taking out of the store freezer and putting in our kitchen freezer to be about 30 minutes, with a handful of that being left in the car.
Will these still be safe to eat after air frying? I'm clueless on how this process works.

Do you know how to tie your shoes?

Was the bag still cold? Was it warm? Could you tell if the filets were still frozen when you felt the bag?

Yes it's safe. Might have some frost that will eventually become freezer burn, but 30 minutes is not nearly enough time to cause any major defrosting that will spoil it.

I know you have a "I'm trying to be the shittiest poster on the site" gig running, but didn't know you took your talents to the F/D board as well. Gotta give you credit for committing to the shtick.

From the time I take something out of the grocery store freezer, continue shopping, check out, load the car, drive home, put everything away, could be an hour. 30 minutes is nothing.
WG, I always had you pegged as an intelligent person all these years. Then you go and post this.

The time itself was not my concern at all. It was the whole "sitting in a hot car in the baking sun" that was.

Are they the pre-battered kind?

You’re asking if precooked frozen food is still good after being out for 30 minutes and want to call me the a-hole
Thinking of checking to see if it was still frozen there Einstein, I mean holy shite

Takes 2 hrs to get home after putting shite in my cart. You’re good

Yes it's safe.
You have no way of knowing this.

How thick were the filets? What volume bag were they in? What was the temperature inside the car and how many minutes was each particular temperature variant? All questions you don’t know the answer to, yet you think you do.
To the OP, nobody can answer this. More than likely, the filets stayed cold enough to be fine. But without knowing the variables, we cannot answer. In the future, you need to see if the filers are still cold. If they are cold, more than likely, they are fine. If they are not cold, there’s much more of a chance that they are not fine.

Do you wear a hazmat suit to Walmart?

Yes we do.
Food safety says cold items are perfectly safe being left out for thirty minutes.
If OP is accurate with his time, they're good. Realistically even longer they're fine.

He washes his soap before each use and masks up to sleep

How hot was the car? He didn't leave them on his counter at room temperature.
Do I think they are safe? Of course. It's highly likely they are and I wouldn't give it a second thought if it happened to me.
But none of us can unequivocally say they are safe without knowing the time, environmental temperature, and product temperature.
