I started this thread....

I'm so very happy for you. Does that mean you can comprehend beyond the 3rd grade reading level?

quote:

well you did do a detail break down of your Ruths and Superior orders after someone used a comparison of the expense of Ruths Chris in relation to how expensive Superior is.

Yes, I did. In response to a comment made by another poster that I personally thought was ridiculous. And others did too.

quote:

Well they kinda are.... you get a few margaritas, a big fajitas, an appetizer, and a combo plate..... then a cocktail, and 2 small steaks with a side.... would be comparable.

Nope, nope, nope. For fun, let's use your example.

Superior Grill

A "few margaritas" - let's call them the large house margaritas at regular prices = $16.50x4 = $66

A "big fajitas" - let's go with the filet fajitas at $40

An appetizer - maybe a bowl of queso since apparently this isn't much food - $16.75

And a combo plate - is this your dessert? - most expensive one is $22.25

Total before tax + tip = $145

Superior Grill Menu

Ruth's:

Since you got 4 drinks at SG, let's do 4 drinks at Ruth's. We can even just call them $15/each = $60

2 small steaks - the smallest steak at Ruth's is the 8oz filet which is $64 = $128

A side = $15-18 so let's go with the $15 to help you out a little bit.

Total before tax and tip = $203

Even if your "bias" example, the absolute worst case for SG is still $58 cheaper before tax and tip than Ruth's.

Just stop.

why? thats not what i would do, just as you said that not what you ant your wife would do... so 1 drink for me nothing for her. so take 45 bucks off. and she would want the pork chop instead of the filet. so thats another 11 bucks off.

So that comes out to 201 buck.... just as expensive as Superior... Why can you take liberties in your ordering and i cant?

Come on, man. Are you serious with this?

What about this can you not understand?

You are literally comparing just about the most expensive "typical" menu of food at Superior Grill for a pared down, less than typical menu at Ruth's just to try to make your point. I have not done that in any way. In fact, in this case, I used your "biased" argument against you but you didn't like it.

This isn't really that hard, but since you completely are missing the point and have the debate skills of an 8 year old, I'll make it simple:

Superior Grill's prices, while higher than many tex-mex restaurants in the Baton Rouge area, are nowhere near the prices of Ruth's Chris. Nothing you've said in this thread has contradicted this argument.

not at all.... Ninfas crashed hard.... I went to Tio Javis a few times after the name change and it just wasnt any different... Might need to try it again but I just wasnt impressed. Prime mid-2000s Ninfas was great though.
