2x large frozen margaritas at Happy Hour prices = $20
1x beef fajitas = $32
Total = $52
Tax = $10
Tip = $20
All in = $82

If we go to Ruth's it looks something like this:
2x cocktails = $30
Bottle of wine = $80
2x steaks = $100
2x sides = $20
2x salads = $25
Total = $255
Tax = $25
Tip = $50
All in = $330

Just stop with this dumb comparison.
why do you get 1 steak fajitas at Superior and 2 steaks at Ruth's.... Just as his was geared towards his arguement.... so is yours...

2 cocktails AND a botle of wine..... 2 sides and 2 salads.....

you have double the booze and food at your Ruths Chris dinner.

We split them all the time, but admittedly I eat like a child.

I find it’s a good bit of food regardless though. The employees have warned us before when trying to get the one “for 2” that they regularly have 4 people share it.

4 people share it because its so expensive.... not because it feeds 4 people.

Well, I usually eat a little more than half, and my wife eats the rest.

In addition to the "4 pieces of steak" I also eat this:
- chips
- salsa
- queso and/or guacamole
- rice
- beans
- sauteed onions, tomatoes, and bell peppers

The meal I described above is more than enough for 2 people. Can I eat an entire platter of fajitas? Absolutely. The price, though, isn't what stops me.

As I stated before:

I'm getting just about the same amount of booze in that margarita as I am with several drinks at Ruth's.

I get unlimited chips and salsa, which are filling.

With my entree at Superior, I get all the sides and condiments I want.

At Ruth's, it's all a la carte, so if I want anything other than a slab of beef I have to order it separately.

And at Ruth's, I'm paying for a nicer dining experience. So yes, I'm going to have a few drinks, take my time with dinner, and enjoy it.

To add:

Do you order the exact same amount of food and drinks at every restaurant you go to? I certainly don't.

But if you want to act like what I wrote was unreasonable, then consider that the guy I was responding to says that he and his wife order queso, then two orders of fajitas, and also drink 2 large margaritas each. Imagine how much food and drink they probably order at Ruth's and then tell me it's comparable.

no are you retarded?

But you are curtailing your order to help the side of the argument you are one....So to even the playing field to remove bias, you have to compart amounts and value, not "What i order here and what i order there". So you can not take into account the all you can eat chips... Well you can but it makes you look retarded trying to compare Ruths Chris to Superior.

did you not read my original comment.... i said you were bias in your order to help your side of that argument as did he.

I had to go back and read how the Ruths Chris argument came about and i do not feel his comment "you dont want to pay Ruths Chris prices" wasnt far off, like you did....you gave an argument that your Ruths Chris bill is over 3x your superior.. That's being VERY disingenuous. Can you make your Ruths bill 3x.. of course... you order like you wrote, and be conservative at Superior and go all out at Ruths.... Thats what i was pointing out....

Bot you COULD make your Superiors bill more expensive than Ruths, if you wanted too.

The original comment was stating that you dont want to go eat Mexican food an pay upwards of 30-60-80 bucks a person.

I am actually stating what my wife and I would order at Superior vs what we would order at Ruth’s.

I don’t go to Superior for a 3 hour fine dining experience.

And the prices aren’t even remotely close.

It was a stupid argument from that guy and the fact that you are rehashing it and trying to act like he was right in saying that Superior Grill is comparable price wise to Ruth’s makes it clear that you are just as delusional as him. Let it go, dude.

depends. If I'm there to mostly drink and socialize I'd rather eat apps then split an entree with my wife

I don't think I've ordered a full steak for me at Ruth's in years. I prefer the ribeye and that's way too much food for me to eat

wife and I always share. 1 or 2 apps, salad, 1 entree. Plenty of food (usually too much) and we get to try a few different things

almost always the more interesting food is in the appetizer list anyway especially at better places

I just re-read your comments and this one stood out.

Did you read all of this thread and think that I was comparing Ruth's to Superior?

i think the main gripe is people go out to eat tex mex (fairly cheap ingredients/food/drinks) and dont expect to pay ruth's chris prices

I stand by my comments that Superior Grill's prices are in no way comparable to Ruth's Chris' prices and it was a stupid comparison. You clearly are just as dimwitted to double down on someone else's ridiculous comparison. I called it out as hyperbole, which it is. Yet here you two are, arguing that it was valid.

If you can't see that you are having trouble with reality, I can't help you.

Take a breath, re-read all of the comments, and let me know who is being defensive about Superior Grill's prices.

well you did do a detail break down of your Ruths and Superior orders after someone used a comparison of the expense of Ruths Chris in relation to how expensive Superior is.
quote:

Well they kinda are.... you get a few margaritas, a big fajitas, an appetizer, and a combo plate..... then a cocktail, and 2 small steaks with a side.... would be comparable.

you see what i did.... i made an order to fit my arguement.... just as you did. How do you not see the bias in your statements. I see bias i mine... and i admit it.. you dont.

You clearly are just as dimwitted
and this is where you lose the argument....
