We always grab a bucket on our annual trip to Toledo. As good as any around these days.

ETA: I just hope they can attract decent staff. This is 90% of the problem with fast food places around BR, many of the staff are unemployable and/or don’t hide the fact that they don’t want to be there.

Excellent news. Have picked up plenty from the Many location for TBend camp eating.

Love SC! The chicken is great especially when it’s fresh. The sides & rolls are mediocre at best though.

Their chicken is just as good as Popeyes but bigger pieces.

Popeyes sides are better. But I will definitely check it out.

The constant long lines at the Shreveport locations attest to how good it is. I don't eat much fast food, but I've had SC a couple of times, and the long lines moved quickly.

I read that they hired some folks who helped other small chains grow, and they plan to expand their territory significantly. A recent Advocate article said they bought land on Johnson Street in Lafayette and are building there in addition to BR and NOLA.

Fried okra and sweet grits are the only ones I ever get from the Farmerville location on the way to the camp...the rolls are just regular dinner rolls, but honestly the chicken is good enough that I don't really worry about the sides not being exceptional.

It's cheaper, it's very good, and the service is great. Popeyes has delicious chicken but everything else about Popeyes sucks. Give me southern classic.

Unfortunately the North Market location doesn't offer fried okra. What does the other brother call his chicken restaurants? His recipe is excellent also.

It’s delicious. Always fresh. Always fast. Employees never try to fight you or call you a bitch. At least, that is my experience.

The sides aren’t as good as Popeyes but they aren’t bad. The chicken is superior, imo

Soft.

The complimentary degradation and dehumanization you receive at Popeyes Is an essential part of the experience. If I wanted rainbows and sunshine served with my chicken I’d go to chick fil a

My first visit was to a location in the hood. I still laugh about how the crew leader was telling the others a story as I arrived at the window. “And this MF was trying tell me some shite, and I was like, bitch ….” Then she turned to me, sweet as honey, and said, “Here go your chicken, baby.”
