I have it much better than you from a monetary standpoint. About 1 drink is all I can handle.

Yea $6 isn't bad. It's usually around $8 most places in Baton Rouge

I just don't see it as I'm generally ordering makers and water and I don't think I'm even paying $8 for that most places. Some of the higher end places, yes.

I think there is a certain amount of alcohol that everyone can consume in their lifetime before they can't drink much. It is a different amount for each person.

I used up my allotment at LSU many moons ago.

Where, on Bourbon? Uptown and mid city prices are equal to BR. There are also places that they're more, but that's at nicer places.

I agree with that assessment, but overall the costs are higher. I am a big fan of dive bars and it's still more than $6 for Crown. At least in SF.

shite, don't go out downtown. Prepare to pay $10+ for any decent drink.

Crown and Coke $4 at Finn McCools and that's with 2oz of liquor.

Domestic bottled beers are just as bad. Several restaurants and bars I frequent in shreveport are $3+/beer and doubt they pay more than $4 for a six pack. So you're looking at 78% profit margin on that at least.
