also,
The Dickle 12yo, the Four Roses Limited and the Michter's limited are all extremely good. I have also purchased a bottle of "rhetoric" from the orphan barrel project.
These are limited releases from barrels found in old stitzer weller warehouses. The first two releases were a little to "earthy" from being in the barrels too long. however, this is supposed to be the best yet in that line a real treat. Going to drink during Thanksgiving.

It's a gift for a big client. If that means an extra few grand a year in business, I say it's not a waste of money to get him something memorable.
It's also worth considering that giving him Pappy would basically be the end of bourbon gifts in the future.

I like this. Better and better and better until you get to the best. It let's you put it off to a better yielding year. You can also make the joke that they keep getting better, and he'll have pappy if he stays with you long enough.

I had a bottle of the Jeffersons Ocean. I have to say I was quite happy with it.

I was only offering GRTiger, since he asked.

I'm not sure if I understand the concept of giving a client a $2000 bottle of bourbon though. Doesn't that mean that the client is overpaying you by much more than the price of the bourbon?

e-mail removed so Broke will quit sending me dick pics.

You don't own a business do you?

fun post to read, but my .02$ is go with other alternatives and throw in a nice box of cigars to pair with said bourbon/whiskey. Anything by Drew Estate, My Father, etc...

No, I don't. I'm legitimately asking. Not trying to demean or anything. Just curious.

Clients use a service when it adds value to what they do. They pay for that. It generates revenue for me. I appreciate their trust and business so I give them something.
I could charge everyone cost but then my kids and family would starve.

for a 600$ 10 yr it better come with a happy ending from Mr. Winkle himself.

Ok, well I'm asking too, because the only handy I see on the shelf is sitting there at $250. So I would love to know where I am missing out

Get outta here, mooch.
I'm really trying to find a 2014 bottle of OF birthday bourbon, and get a line on the 2016 for when it is released, to be shared with my two sons' on their 21st birthdays.
That and a 2015 Angel's Envy Cask Strength, to go with my 2013, for similar reasons.

I've heard the 2015 AECS is supposed to be pretty good.

You will have to pay a lot of $ to get Pappy. There are a lot more reasonable bourbons they are just as good if not better. Go with a gift basket of some good ones. People have been saying Four Roses Small Batch LE, Foresters Birthday Bourbon, Buffalo Trace Antique Collection and others like that but the problem is those are all rare now too and most have already been sold.
Where do you live? Could give you pointers on stores to check out for good quality affordable bourbon.
