If yes, is it any good? Who owns/runs it?

No - but there is a new taco place in the same strip mall a couple of doors down

I haven’t been to the new place so I don’t know if it’s the same ppl or not - but it’s a different name - The Tacos Place BR

I dig their tacos, but haven’t had anything else.

New place and honestly it's not good. Pretty expensive and their menu is all over the place.

Sad to hear. It was really good when they originally opened, but turned to crap when the former Icehouse folks bought it. Was hoping that now it'd be better.

Where do you get good carnitas tacos in BR?

The original Mr Taco was awesome and very reasonably priced.

El Tio on Burbank is very good. It's a dump and you'll probably be the only one in there that speaks English but the food is fantastic.

Mr Taco was great but unfortunately closed

Those closest thing I’ve had to their carne asada tacos is La Tienda (corner of Siegen & Cloverland)

There was a thread about it when they opened, don't they have steak, lobster, and oysters on it?

The original owners sold it and it was open for awhile with the same name
I thought they had moved to the old Ice House location that was bigger and not sure if the one there now just changed names or not
Have not been since the original owners sold it
It was authentic and really good but I had heard the new ownership changed some things and it was not as good

I would love to know how much they are spending on food inventory just to keep a menu like that possible

If they have a big menu, and are serving lobsters & oysters at a taco place, that'd be a huge turnoff to eat there, at least for me.
