My annoyance with the prices and inability to get a smaller meal at Five Guys is well documented over the years here. I’ve complained at them calling their standard burger “little” a million times, because it’s misleading to make you spend more.
All of that said, the person who said a double and the fries is enough for two people still isn’t wrong.
if you can't order a hamburger, fries & drink for under $14 there's a problem. you could have a nice lunch in a real restaurant for that amount and you're not stuck with a paper sack full of bland, shitty fries.

I agree. I don’t dislike FG, but probably have only been 3-4 times since it opened. I order burgers in restaurants fairly often.
This might really trigger some based on the replies in this thread... but the first thing I do when it arrives in a restaurant is cut it in half. Not sure why that’s weird It looks way better in the takeout box like that than it would with bites chomped out.

i can identify about 10 place here in town with better fries. just because they're fresh cut doesn't mean they know how to prepare them properly.
the only thing more overrated than their shitty fries are the blackened hockey pucks they call hamburger patties. sonic has a better more juicy hamburger patty. lord help you if you expect a patty with some actual flavor left in it because you're getting a thin dry disk served WELL DONE.

I think the burger would be infinitely better if they seasoned the patties, but they don’t. To me, that’s just crazy.
