Had some Saturday. A little tough, but nothing the women couldn't still handle.

Boiled some in FW last weekend. They were fine.

I bought some boiled from Schaefer's in Bucktown a few days ago and they were better than I had anticipated. Only about 25% were dark/hard shelled. But a friend of mine boiled some the same day and complained they were so hard she had to use scissors to cut open the tales like a lobster. So my guess is you are right on the cusp of the season end.

I got a sack from HEB a few weeks ago and though they looked a bit dark they really werent all that hard. I was surprised.

Man, as much as I like boiled crawfish, it is just too damn hot to be standing over a big pot of boiling water and dealing with the sun on my driveway this time of year.

Hey man, if you think about it. Let me know how it goes and if I should bother this weekend.
I know the shells will be hard but if the meat is good and they aren't muddy, I'll give it go. But if you don't think I should bother I probably won't.

Boiled a sack of river crawfish Sunday . They were great .
