Are y'all just eating shitty king cakes?
I'm not saying the king cake is the mecca of dessert breads or that it shouldn't be the one booted off the list, but I'm always baffled at people who act like it's a piss dessert for the poors.
A well-made king cake is fricking delicious and something I look forward to every year.

I think I'm gonna have to go with gumbo. Boudin can be replaced by some good sausage, and as others have said cinnamon rolls > king cake.
I love me some crawfish boils during the summer, but a delicious bowl of gumbo with a scoop of potato salad... one of the best things ever on a cold night
