The best fried catfish in BR is at the deli counter at Hi Nabor on Jones Creek. Incredibly light and crunchy, with a little spice.

They know how to fry certainly but if you want a little better go to their Victoria Drive store off Winbourne. Those old black women have been working there for all my life and do a great job.

They also have great pork and pork prices.

LOL

Master of the long con, I do know some Crifasi's.

BTW, the hush puppies and boudoins ball in the same place are deadly, and not in a good way. But, I buy 6 pieces of catfish for <$5, a baguette and we have 2 very nice catfish poboys for very cheap.

Theirs are solid, but the best is the three-flavor fish on the lunch buffet at Thai Pepper.

I know Chris Crifasi and he's a great guy. They do a good job for what they do. They don't pretend to be Rouses. Just a local and want to keep it that way.
