Or should I hold my money until next three days in Florence?

Dinner time starts in 20 mins. All the food here was good, but nothing that knocked my socks off yet. We leave for Florence at noon tomorrow.

InB4 subtle brag I'm in Rome.

I mean...for an AMAZING meal you probably should have booked something in advance, not 20 minutes before dinner time.

You can try:

Armando al Pantheon

Roscioli

Da Enzo (in trastevere, there will be a line)

Le Mani in Pasta

Osteria del Sostegno

Also by amazing, what do you mean? Michelin Stars? Super upscale? etc etc

What do you have lined up in Florence?

We really enjoyed Antico Arco.

Not sure what your standard for "amazing" is though.

One of the most recommended places in Rome is Cesare al Casaletto. Gets rave reviews.

But is not in the center of Rome. You have to take the metro/train into the suburbs I think. About 20 minutes. Supposed to be great.

For the love of God man. You’ve been posting nonstop about this trip on the Travel Board for nine months and you wait until 20 minutes before you need a dinner rec to start yet another thread????

Just ate there a few weeks ago and would highly recommend OP getting reservations. . . months ago when the trip was being planned

One of the best meals I've had was at

La Pergola Rome - *** Michelin star restaurant.

I'm sure he'll have no issues getting a table at a Three Michelin star restaurant without a reservation.

you are right but he asked for

this would fit the bill. If he has access to a concierge, diamond member with hilton, a black or platinum amex or a sapphire reserve card he may be able to get one.

Just show up to La Pergola with your fancy jeans on, you'll be fine.

Stand in line at Da Enzo is probably the best best.

But here's Katie Parla's recently updated "Essential 38" for Rome:

I was thinking exactly that: he only packed jeans, but wants an amazing dinner.
Sigh.

That is true. However, while I don't know the guy, based on the plethora of threads he's started about this trip I'd say it's a damn safe bet he does not have any of those.
