bottle of wine properly.
Watching him struggle with the bottle, I actually felt sorry for him. He tried to open the bottle without taking the foil off the bottle first and his cork screw kept slipping off the top preventing the cork from coming out.
I gently mentioned to him that it might be a good idea to take the foil off first next time. He then poured the wine through the mangled label spilling wine on the table cloth.
I watched him do the same at the next table.
Do restaurants not assess new hires skills before sending them out to wait tables?

Do not inform management
Give exceptional tip
And people wonder why service is not good in this country

is there no popcorn emoticon.
This is a commonly overlooked aspect in bartending but much more noticeable during table service. I find Im thinking to myself more times than I’d like to admit that this 18 year old in Baton Rouge has never opened a bottle of wine, job setting or not. Troubling

Some Karnac you are to know what happened at my visit to this restaurant aside from what I wrote about it. This is a place I frequent so I intend to inform them of my experience.
I was in a magnanimous mood and didn't let this slip up prevent me from giving my usual tip. I felt bad for the waiter and didn't think it was his fault that he wasn't trained properly.

Wow, how much of a rube are you to think that Buds is in the top echelon of BR restaurants.
