i'm a sucker for good gazpacho.
Also, i would slice the romas in half and toss some in a smoker or indirect heat on a charcoal grill. Let them go until soft and they get some nice color. Use them as a base for all kinds of things: smoked tomato sauce for pizza or pasta, smoked tomato cream sauce, smoked tomato salsa, etc.

I spent all morning canning cucumbers for dill pickles. Looking forward to canning the tomatos for salsa, but they're are still green though. My jalapenos and cayenne are almost ready for the pepper sauce..

I do not like Morton's Kosher salt. It's just strange to me,for some reason. I use David's, which I love. Salad looks enticing.

You can make a kick-arse marinara out of that. The wife chops them in half, roasts them in the oven with olive oil, parsley and rosemary on them.
Then in a pan, saute some garlic and olive oil. Add the tomatos and oil to the garlic in the pan. Heat a little. Then drop all of the above into a food processor and just hit it a few times. Add salt, pepper, little red wine.
Then get some good bread and dip that shite.

I love making sandwiches with fresh tomatoes!

Made a great sandwich yesterday. Put a parm/softened butter mixture on the outside of the bread and grilled it on that side only in a pan. Put mayo on the insides, when done. Filled it will lettuce, avocado slices, sliced tomatoes and thick cut bacon.

can you give me a basic run down on this? i've been wanting to try it.
i like to roast my grape tomatoes in the oven with olive oil, salt and pepper. you can eat them like that, make a roasted tomato soup (FABULOUS with grilled cheese), put them on a pita with some feta, or wrap them in bacon and throw them on the pit.
