$15 for a damn meal.
My box combo was $13.92. This includes an extra sauce and large 1/2 &1/2 tea. This is in Colorado.

That's pretty much $15 dipshit

Luv me some Canes. And luv me some Popeyes (spicy is the GOAT). Hate all you want but it won't deter me.
And I l, like everyone else, would like more chicken for less money.

Good fried chicken is decent after it gets cold. Cane's on the other hand is damned near inedible once it has been refrigerated. The sauce is the only redeeming factor. Cane's chicken is extremely fricking bland to begin with.

I don’t think the overall restaurant gets hate, I just think there have been a lot of people complaining that the chicken tender portions are smaller as of late, everything else is legit

Chicken tenderloins come in boxes, usually 40 pounds. Not sure if canes gets 40 pound boxes or not, but the point is, they get boxes of chicken fingers in. They then dump the chicken fingers into a marinade, pull them out batter them, and fry them. Do you think a fast food manager is supposed to have the employees grab any smaller sized fingers they see and set them aside so they can then make a reimbursement claim to the supplier?
You got DV to hell but are spot on. There’s always consistency issues especially when you purchase by the lb from the supplier and turn around and sell by the piece at the restaurant level.
QSRs like Canes prefer a smaller bird, they taste better and cook faster. But the supply side makes their money on big chicken, namely in supermarkets. As big as Canes is, they still aren’t big enough to manipulate the supply chain to produce chicken to their specs at a value cost. So they’re paying a premium for their tenders based on size and cut. This drives pricing and consistency issues at the restaurant
At the end of the day, folks are still going out in droves to Canes. Not sure this echo chamber is representative of the consumer as a whole

Current growth would speak a pretty loud NO to the above.

What's your Cane's order, G baby?

I like Canes ,but like everyone else I hate the shrinkage of the tenders. We have an Off the Hook in Houma, much better tender basket than canes . Cheaper

This thread made me go get cane's for the first time in years. Best worst decision I have made in a long time.

Who the hell is refrigerating leftover Canes?
Posted on 12/1/24 at 4:21 pm to braves21
i think people who hate canes might be slightly homosexual
Posted on 12/1/24 at 4:47 pm to tigerreport01
Haha! The people who hate Canes think it’s cute to say “sammich”.
Posted on 12/1/24 at 4:54 pm to braves21
My problem with them is they are soggy. I gotta ask for extra crispy everytime.

I don't owe you an explanation. Simply put, Canes sucks when cold.
But since you need some help here, we have a huge Christmas party every year and everyone brings their kids , we generally have someone pick up Canes for them. Some years, it rains or a bunch of people don't show and we have a couple of trays left over. We aren't so rich as to feel fine throwing food away, so we divide leftover food among families attending the party to take home with them.
NO ONE wants the Canes leftovers and they get left here.
So there you have it, and just I wasted 2 minutes typing out an explanation to your simple arse. I don't like throwing $75 worth of food away because it is fricking wasteful.
Posted on 12/1/24 at 9:30 pm to tonydtigr
Why don’t yall just get trays of something else if its so unpopular leftover?

Kids love them because their taste buds haven't developed. . People with adult tastes don't generally gravitate towards them.
I would have thought that you might have more sophisticated tastes than to try to white knight for bland assed chicken fingers. Have you had different results with leftover Canes? Do people clamor to take them home with them if there are leftovers. You are just arguing to argue.
Cold canes, or warmed up. They both suck arse. Hell, they aren't even great fresh. You can do much better. Chick fil A, and Rouses chicken fingers blow them away. Popeyes too.
I don't buy Canes. People who attend the party think they are doing a good thing for their kids by buying shite loads of them. I wouldn't waste my money on that shite.

Never had Rouse's so no comment. And agree that Popeyes' are better (Popeyes' spicy is GOAT). But a Canes finger + sauce is very good and much better than CFA.
I'm old and have been eating Canes for around 20 years. Love the place. It ain't just children going there. The reason it's so popular is because it's an excellent fast-food option.

So your gripe with Canes is that once a year, when you are left with extra chicken fingers and you don’t want to throw them away, the chicken fingers are not good cold. But the hot chicken fingers are good enough for you to serve at your party.
