I can cook soft scrambled eggs in microwave to perfection

So easy, no mess. Secret is to use a small cup shaped microwaveable bowl for one or two eggs and to cook in three timed stages. I use my smaller lower wattage microwave. First add egg and a teaspoon or two of whole milk and mix. First round is 25 seconds, remove and stir again. Second round 7 seconds, remove and stir, final third round 5 seconds. After final round the egg should appear to be slightly undercooked, and this is important as egg is still actually cooking. Immediately if you wish add a piece of cheese and stir. You may have to experiment with your partiuclar microwave and bowl, but main thing is that if yoiu cook in microwave for just an extra five seconds too long it will be very overcooked by the time youre ready to eat.

Or I could cook them in a skillet in maybe 1 minute more than this took you. No hate, to each his own

I used to do eggs in a bowl with some other protein and cheese all the time and it took longer than 37 seconds. I would generally set it at 2 minutes and ever 30-40 seconds take out and stir. The first time I mix there is barely any cooked on the side. Maybe because I use a bigger bowl.
But you are right just like with regular scrambled eggs you need to stop cooking before they are done. 5 seconds too long is a killer.

When we got our first microwave in the 1970s, eggs were touted as something easy to cook, and they are actually. I don't think many people use the microwave to cook in anymore. It's mostly a reheating tool and something to make popcorn with.

Pillsbury Doughboy Movie Butter in the microwave, with Popsright powdered butter (hard to find) salt is what Microwaves were invented to cook. Sharing a bag with the wife is just about the perfect size at my house.

The first microwave I owned, circa 1987, came with a hardback cookbook full of recipes for casseroles, chicken, etc. I tried to make the cabbage rolls, and it was a fricking disaster.
People who write cookbooks should be required to eat every recipe after it is cooked exactly as they wrote it.

Do they smell worse being cooked in the microwave?

For the first round, you should cover the bowl with foil. It usually makes my eggs a little more fluffy.

A good friend's ex-wife cooked scrambled eggs in the mic.
The whole house would fill up with a putrid sulphuric aroma...
I think it's why they're divorced.

Sounds like more trouble than it's worth.

I feel bad for people making popcorn in microwave. Stop top is where it’s at.
