I'd franchise a Pluckers in New Orleans. Granted it's almost impossible to open a restaurant in New Orleans, but the choices of decent wings are few and far between in the city.

That's the point. He's a lot like a lot of us on this board. Love to eat, drink and cook and probably pretty good at it but I'd be willing to bet not a half dozen on this site could do it right and make money. And the key is making money- even if it takes time, which is the beauty of having a dollar amount that you didnt borrow from friends, family or bank or have to make it to live on. Invest it and take your time. But I think some of these suggestions would cost more than a hundred grand.
And BR had a couple Buds Broilers years ago that didn't make it. I think the burger market, like Mexican and sushi is way too crowded. I'd look for something safer.

There's a great market for doughnuts around here thanks to all the fatasses.
Flour, sugar, water, oil, fryers, a couple ovens, some cute racks, and some chicks that can make and serve coffee. All doable for 100k.
