it's always packed with self-absorbed people who don't know how to share the aisles. Both stores have their undesirable clientele

I can't go to WF in Baton Rouge without wanting to murder every human in the store. People just jump in front of you.. they linger taking up entire walkways.. it's NEVER slow even late at night or early in the morning..

I'll drive across town to Fresh Market just to avoid these people.

I did buy a few things while there. Some bike lights, those felt things you put under furniture, a beta fish, bottle of whiskey, and a bag of beef jerky.

The produce at the one in Alex is hit and miss. Fruits are generally poor, veggies are pretty good. The best fruit in town is at Sams.

I thought it was just me and not having enough of a smug factor. Self absorbed obtuse garbage. And I have lived in BR most of my life.

I don't shop at whole foods because it is too far. Wal-Mart meat and produce is gross so I don't shop there because I don't eat prepackaged.

I don't shop at either, as well, but I'd more likely shop at WF over WM.

'm a little surprised Slate didn't include a nod to the thinly veiled racism implicit in the WF business model.

As much as I hate Whole Foods, the new Savannah WF is probably a 60/40 ratio when I have been there.
