In college, I left some gumbo in the fridge for 3 weeks and then it was left out overnight. and the next morning i got up and a random was eating it. He ended up being fine and then went missing for a week.

it's not much different than putting it in the fridge
Yeah, except that IT'S NOT IN A FRIDGE!
(Sorry for the caps lock thing. I hate it when other people do that.)

I meant the difference in temperature is not that much.
Maybe you just have a weak stomach.

Actually, you're partially correct. I think I have a paranoid stomach. That's a real disease, right?

You will know in 6-12 hours if it was bad or not

I would eat a small amount, less than 1/2 cup. If you don't have any intestinal distress at all for 12 hours it's OK.

You realize most refrigerators are running at around 40 degrees??
Yeah, but it got into the 50s outside, and considering it was in his garage + residual heat, it was probably around 60 for most of the night, if not hotter.

I would eat it. I've left restaurant leftovers out by accident and I've eaten them the next morning for breakfast. I mean, it's not that long. I figure if I get sick, oh well. I've never been sick and I've done that for a while.

And once you do get sick, trust me, you'll never do that again.
