Great food, great location, great vibes. Whoever owns this place must be pretty set.

Haven’t been there in 25 years.
Do they still have the picture of Jimi Hendrix looking out over the bar?

It has been there since at least the 1970s. Used to be one of my college hangouts.

Had many a delicious drunken meal there in the early 2000s.

It reflects through the mirror right over the bar still.

Loved it back in the day. Some interesting history there too.

You might be referring to Vic. He was the general manager there for a bunch of years (20?)and he left and opened a place in Pierre Part and he passed away a couple of years ago.

Love it.
It was my dads hangout back in the 70s when he was at Loyola. He brought a young me (about 13 at the time) and got us in after a Sugar Bowl (UF v ND) as long as we stayed in the back corner playing the pop a shot basketball game.

It’s usually a rally point for our friends when we go to NOLA. We all meet there for a drink and then hit the city.
Are the cheese fries still good?

You won’t find a better Buffalo wing in New Orleans. Seriously. It’s like the rest of the city doesn’t know what a proper wing is. Fats is some of the best I’ve ever had.

Never actually went in there....that I remember. Been hammered AF for plenty of parades, so maybe I did, but just don't remember.
Anyway, oddly enough, you bringing this up just gave me a massive bout of nostalgia, because hanging out on St. Charles during Mardi Gras was one of the greatest times of my life. Family, friends, great vibes, constant flow of hot women who are ready to party....just the best of times.
When the frick are we getting time machines?

Late 70's, my friend lived 4 blocks away. We would go drink in the Quarter and drive back to his house at about 2:00 am. Then walk to Harry's for a burger and cheese fries and more beer.
Youth.
Youth.

Yeah that’s certainly a stretch.

Nothing wrong with the place as a basic watering hole otherwise, though. Pretty difficult to get in during carnival.
