How does Jackson, MS get a Cantina Laredo before Baton Rouge?

I like their menu and overall ambiance. The one in SanDestin seems to be doing well. Wonder why they elected Jackson over Baton Rouge. They should have taken the former coyote blues location before Saltgrass got it.

the one in nashvillle closed for lack of interest so your choice in restaurants mirrors your choice in favorite la towns

I'm more salty about Lafayette getting a Chuy's before Baton Rouge.

We have a few in DFW that do pretty well.

They closed one in Orlando (Dr. Phillips) recently as well. I always enjoyed the place but the location wasn't great.
ETA Damn that was 3 years ago it closed

I hate the one here in Shreveport. The cocktails are great but the food is really overpriced IMO. Not to mention the service I got at the bar was some of the worst I've ever had. They NEVER take initiative to notice when your drink is low or out, and even after you let them know you need a new one you can expect a 10 minute wait...even on beer.

Must have gone downhill. Service in Shreveport was fine from what I remember. The food is priced pretty much the same as other "classier" mexican chains like mi cocina. It's just kinda the only one of those in Shreveport so it looks expensive compared to like posados.
It's nothing spectacular but their fajitas are good, salsas are bomb, and the mole enchiladas kick arse.

Way overrated, nothing really special about Chuy's here in Lafayette.

The best thing about Chuys is their jalapeno ranch dip, which is easily recreated at home.

Chuys sucks. The salsa sucks, their nacho bar is ghetto, and their food is subpar.

Cause it sucks, so there's that.

That's due to location. The food is terrible.
