How are the restaurant options in Pensacola Beach v. other panhandle Beachtowns

Thinking about a trip to Pensacola Beach soon. Very famiar with Orange Beach area, and PCB and Destin options, but have never really stayed in Pensacola Beach and thought it'd be a good change of venue for a trip.
Are the dining options comparable, better, or worse than the other bigger Riviera towns?

Friend,
I know the Destin restaurant scene fairly well, as we stay east of Destin twice annually for family trips. I've stayed on Pensacola Beach five times, twice in the last five years. Unlike most restaurant matters, I do not consider myself an expert in either location, but I will mention a few restaurants that are noteworthy.
On Pensacola Beach, The Grand Marlin is a beautiful building with the feel of a good restaurant. Everything, from the view to the service to the dinnerware to the hostess lectern, indicates you will have a great meal. Then the food arrives. It isn't bad, but it is underwhelming. The best fried seafood at the beach isn't Peg Leg Pete's, which is always crowded and has lots of mice running on its floor. No, the best fried seafood is at The Shrimp Basket, a local chain, which is closer to the Hilton. The best Tex Mex, partially by default, as it is the only Tex Mex on the island, is Cactus Flower. The chicken enchiladas are particularly excellent.
I would recommend against Red Fish Blue Fish, Crabs, Hemingway, Shaggy's, Flounder's, and The Dock. A couple of restaurants I would like to try are Cafe Nola and Cosse's, both of which claim to serve New Orleans style food.
Please let me know if you would like me to join you on your next trip. I am searching for a driveable vacation spot this weekend, as Mother recently said she "would like to see the South before the South is gone forever." I believe she's worried about New Yorkers moving south to avoid the novel corona virus.
Yours,

I would say the Pensacola Beach restaurant scene is considerably worse than the three places you mentioned in the OP.

There just aren't many good options at all in PCB.

There’re some good places in Pensacola but you have to drive into town. Try George’s or Union Public House. Both very solid places. I was really surprised by how good George’s was.

Hard to beat a dozen raw oysters on the half shell and some cold Yeungling drafts at Peg Leg Pete’s

The wife and I made a quick getaway to Pensacola last summer- the dining scene isn't that great.
Flounder's and Peg Leg Pete's are cool places to chill and have a beer and a burger. There is a little Greek restaurant called Spyro's Gyro's that is pretty good. We talked with the owner and her daughter for a while at lunch one day. Super nice people, the owner is a Greek immigrant.
The Boardwalk area has an open area bar looking over the bay, I think it is called Admiral's.
We went to Hemingway's one night for a nicer dinner. Was hugely disappointed. Service was terribly slow and several menu items weren't available.
The best place we found was Native Cafe. We at breakfast/brunch there twice. It is a hole in the wall place and there was a wait, but it was very good.
Overall Pensacola's dining options aren't on par with Destin, Orange Beach, etc.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I have been going to Orange Beach/Perdido Key area for the past few years and really like the restaurant options.
I like the idea of Pensacola but if the dining options aren't that great, looks like Destin is the likely destination.
