Pico’s is really good for stuff like the pork shank. If you go their trying to get an el tiempo type of meal you will leave disappointed

Believe it or not, Pico's has excellent fried softshell crabs when they're in season...almost as good as Vallone's.

About the only reason to visit Pico's. The rest of their food reminds me of chain Ninfa's...which is what that building used to be.

Oh no doubt, I grew up not too far from the OG and it was Friday night tradition for parents to gas rita’s And get soft crab there.

anyone checked out the new underbelly?

Went tonight...place is loud and warm.

Food was excellent.

Started with the crispy rice salad and an order of pork dumplings. The crispy rice salad might be my second favorite dish in Houston at the moment.

Followed that up with the laap wraps, great flavor here.

The crawfish and noodles(my new favorite dish in Houston) and a side of collard greens finished the meal out.

UB Preserve is everything Underbelly should have been. Chris Shepherd has a great little joint here...interested to see what Georgia James brings.
