I don't get the hate for In-N-Out. I've eaten both In-N-Out and Shake Shack and enjoy both. I do prefer the Shake Shack burger but that's expected being it's twice the price. Both places have mediocre fries though.

I don't hate In N Out. I probably eat lunch there once a month or so. I just don't understand why west coast folks (nm I may have just found the answer) pimp the place so much. They treat it like the Holy Grail of burgers.

If any of y'all find yourself in Austin and want a quality fast food burger try P. Terry's. I prefer it much more than In N Out.

I enjoy In-N-Out but it's definitely overrated.

My go-to protein style 3x3 (lettuce wrapped), mustard fried patties, grilled onions, extra pickles, add peppers, no spread.

I don't order the fries so can't comment on whether they suck or not.

Taking soggy fries and piling slop on top of them do not make them any better.

You can also order them light done or well done

people talk it up like it's the single greatest thing to ever exist in all of the culinary world. It's a fast food burger. The best fast food burger, but merely a fast food burger nevertheless. So people go in expecting the greatest thing ever to come from a Michelin restaurant, and they get a fast food burger. Plus, all in n outs outside of california just arent as good in my experience. With that said, it's better than whataburger

I like In-N-Out. I think it's tasty. There's one that's about 2 minutes from my house. It's the only one in Santa Barbara/Goleta. People pack that motherfricker. It's open until 1 am, and sometimes I get off work and want a burger before I go home. There's always a huge line and I get stuck in it for like 20-30 minutes and I regret my choice. I want to yell "IT'S NOT THAT frickING GOOD!" to everybody, but I'm there, too, so I can't.

Why would Houston care about In-n-Out when they already have Whataburger?

An even better question would be Why the hell don’t we have Whataburger in New Orleans???

There were like 3 all within 5 miles in the Pasadena area were I grew up. It used to piss me off cause I liked it enough to where I'd make an effort to go for lunch but not enough to sit and wait for 30 god damn minutes in the drive through. It was like that at all three. I mean seriously. It's not that good

And while having an in n out in the city will be nice and a reminder of home or whatever, I am going to avoid that motherfricker like the plague for at least a few months

I’d eat a cold chicken sandwich from Whataburger before I’d go back for a hot burger from In N Out

The In N Out threads always bring out the fast food passions.

I like their fries because I like the soggy ones. The double fried is something I avoid.

We don't have Whataburger or In N Out over here so some of you need to quit complainin'

Don’t go to Whataburger on Siegan then. I stopped going because the employees dgaf. More often than not my order was wrong and service is slow. They’d rather bullshite and flirt with each other than do their job. I stopped going and started going to Sonic. Burger is pretty similar and service is far better.

I like In N Out. And for that reason I hope they never come to New Orleans. You won’t find people to work like that.

So, you can drive 3 hours to wait in line for 3 hours.

I love In N Out...just not enough to wait in a massive line for it. On the ultra rare occasion that I pass by the one near my house and the line is less than a dozen cars long...then, I'm stopping,
