Hot Sauce Collectors/Hoarders

Does anyone else neurotically collect hot sauces, including even their own, and end up with many partial bottles taking up a lot of fridge space? Especially ones that may be older.
If so, anyone can kick some knowledge on combining some or all? Should they be be heated to simmer or okay to mix cold? Anything else?
ETA: or just throw them out of kinda old?

I do that with Cajun seasonings. Everyone and their cousin sells a variation of it, so I’ve “collected” more than i need over the last few years. I don’t have that many hot sauces where I need to make room…probably 6 different bottles right now. I probably wouldn’t combine them.
I’m not a hoarder so I’d throw away the ones I haven’t used recently. Also, I don’t put them in the fridge….except for Franks. In my house, Franks goes in the fridge for some reason.

I go through a ton of hot sauce, but I don't hoard it. I use it all up pretty quickly.

What's your favorite seasoning that you've found? I'm thinking of trying the Cajun 2 Step as an alternative to the Tony's More Spice I'm finishing off now

Do you just use it on everything you eat? I have some that taste great but are just borderline too hot. I’m talking like maybe a couple big drops in a bowl of something. It will take a long time to go yogurt some of the bottles I have.

I recently adopted 2 Step as my all the time season.
It shows more flavor of celery and bell pepper and very little to no salt. Its way better than any other that I have used.

Well there are hundreds out there, but I’ll say I’m not on the “Tony’s sucks because it’s too salty” bandwagon. I think Tony’s gets a bad wrap because it’s the OG and everyone wants to find something new.
Jack Miller’s has a very well-balanced seasoning that I like.

Well, it's kinda like hot Sauce UN. I have something for most things.
Louisiana/Cajun style
Latino cuisine
Asian
Indian
Caribbean
Peri-peri, and blends of same
Also don't sleep on Old Bay hot sauce - it's great and versatile.
And a lot of general hot mixes (reaper, ghost, scorpion) that can go in whatever.
Then there are the blends I make myself, which are also versatile and generally feature a reaper-habanero blend, some fermented.
I have determined not to buy anymore until I go through what I have. I did get rid of about 4-5 bottles recently that were a few years old.
Like I said, neurotic.

Change the title to CONDIMENTS, and I would win. Ugh. Too many things look good, and then I try it and don’t like it, but hate to throw it out. And then there are the keepers, the ones I really like, but get lost in the sea of other condiments.

There used to be a store right off the strip in Vegas that sold Hot Sauces. Bought several bottles but had a good time just reading the names of some of them.

I buy a lot of different salsas but try to only have 2 jars at a time in my fridge. Also like to experiment with homemade versions. My favorite is a chilis copycat recipe with minor adjustments.
I mixed two store bought salsas once, to make room in the fridge, and it foamed up and formed a head. Guess the preservatives in one didn’t like the other.

There’s a Pepper Palace at the Gulf Shores (MS) Outlet malls, not too far, and yeah they have some crazy shite.
1 or 2 you have to sign a waiver to try

I've got 4 now in my Abu Dhabi fridge.
Cajun Chef- Red
Tabasco- Jalapeno Green. They sell these here of course
Ragin Cajun- Red (The Houston restaurant on Richmond)
Excellence- Red. They sell these here because those Arabs love Eagles
For Cajun spices, I have my own blend and make it at 2 spice shops here in Abu Dhabi (Indian & Syrian) and I have a spice shop where I blend in Dubai. It is liked by many here and its traded at Ethiopian, Nigerian, Ugandan stores, and others. The Indians like it and have their customers who buy their MARSALA getting hooked on my Cajun blend. The Westerners like it and the Philippines and Thai people living here.

Not intentionally a collector but I used to buy a bunch of different hot sauces. Years ago I won a one gallon bottle of Tabasco from Tabasco along with a Reserve edition bottle and a bunch of those tiny bottles. Last night my wife reminded me about a plastic crate of bottles of hot sauce I have in her home office. I'll have to pull that out and go through it. BTW, the one gallon of Tabasco has been used up. Lol.....
