Define soggy, because i've been to cfa many, many times and have never had "soggy" fries.
CFA fries aren't really on the crispier side if that is what you are expecting. Even at their "crispiest" I wouldn't describe them as crispy. Order them 'well done' next time you go, they throw them back in the fryer for an extra 45 seconds. If you still don't like them, then they just aren't for you.

I haven't had checkers in close to a decade. Don't particularly remember them though. If the pic from the last page is what they are like, probably won't be my favorite. Just not my favorite style personally. Same with popeyes. They are good fries, just not the style I prefer.
