This weather we're having in southeast Louisiana right now is absolutely gorgeous! I wish it was like this all the time with a cool crisp breeze.
It's not exactly chili weatherwise but it does make you
want to enjoy certain foods. This morning I'm makin a pot of homemade chili for this evening. It's not too early for a cold beer right.....??? Lol...... I do enjoy a cold brewski while making(or cooking anything really)a pot of chili.

A little known fact is that the true "All American" breakfast is a cold beer and a pot tart.

??

At least on every float trip I have even been on....

You got a recipe for this, or do you have a place up in Mississippi where you buy them?

With the good beer and weed they have in Colorado absolutely. Cant beat it while gazing at the snowy peaks of the rockies.

I have some leftover brisket. Its a tad dry and salty. Destined for chili at some point.

Mr. Tittle

They are commercially available. No home preparation is necessary. For years, the Kellogg corporation has produced this breakfast treat and packaged it in a near perfect package for backpackers, boy scouts and float trip beer drinkers.

Can't believe you didn't know this. I bet they are available from a Piggly Wiggly or IGA Grocery establishment near you.

Happy to help. Call on my anytime.

I think he knows about pop tarts, MD. He was asking about "pot" tarts in your post.

I made a lot of chili for the freezer about 3 weeks ago.

Is that what you city folk eat instead of a honey bun?

Had some homemade chili last Saturday.

It was raining and the cool front put the temps in the low 50s.

Man was it tasty. Can't wait for it to really feel like fall outside so I can do it again.
