Yes
Only as add-ons or for other homebrews though

For those that bottle, do y'all prefer the little tablets or the powder priming sugar?

Priming sugar, but I don't use the entire package that Austin homebrew sends, and I still end up with a lot of carbonation

Got ya, the reason I'm asking is I'm going to bottle a handful of these before I add my pompegranat and don't know how much I should put in there. That's why I'm thinking those little tablets might work for those few bottles

Do any of you home brew guys ever bxn y'all's homebrews?
I got a box of really good stuff from Bottomland and am sending him a box of my stuff. I plan to pack some stuff down to Lonestar when I head that way in February. Zap is too good to get together with me and trade... maybe some day

I just use regular table sugar. I always have plenty around the house.

How much table sugar for 5 gallons?

I have been using this calculator and have been pleased with the results.

That would probably be the best option, if you are only doing a few bottles.

Yes, thanks for that. I've got 2 gallons of experimental second runnings stout that I want to bottle. Was thinking I'd have to find some of those carb tabs.

Dank. That is what I'm aiming for in my next brew after the baltic porter. My garage is too cool right now to do a saison, so I might just go with a regular yeast. I'm not sure how the fruitiness of this brett would work in a really dank ipa like brew. Maybe that could work?

I almost picked some of these up last night.
I have a sour that's in a keg aging and want to bottle one or two and get some opinions.
I'm thinking this might be an easy way to bottle a few and not have to carb the entire keg.

Priming sugar only. I made the mistake on my 2nd and 3rd ever brews of using carb tablets. Both batches had to be dumped. A freaking guyser of beer would shoot out when the cap was popped. Never again. That and priming sugar is much easier anyway. All you have to do is boil some water with the sugar in. Cool it down, put it in your bottling bucket, and rack your brew onto the sugar. It mixes together quite nicely.

So what is y'alls brew plan for next year? What brews do you plan to make?
I have been averaging about 6 brews/year. One every 2 months. But i may try to up that. Here's what i'm thinking i may do.
1) Blood Orange Saison
2) Third Prime IPA
3) Mosaic-Citra IPA
4) Belgian Abbey Ale
5) Biere de Garde
6) Kolsch
7) Milk Stout
8) Porter (possibly oak aged)
And i may do an experimental brew with oddball ingredients. Just to see how it turns out. Things i'd be interested in adding to beer.
a) Chili's
b) Spruce Tips
c) Dragonberry
d) Figs
e) Persimmons
f) Pecans
g) Sweet Potatoes

My goal is to get back to 2/3 times a month. I was on that kick for a few months but then slacked off. After Thanksgiving I am going to try to get back on the proverbial horse.
