I'm dumping it. What a waste of 4 hours and $50.
Just let it sit and see if you can get some better advice. There has to be some way to salvage that. It won't hurt it at all to let it sit, even over night.

That's exactly what it's like. Lesson learned, will try again in a couple weeks.

I ended up not brewing this weekend and will probably mash tomorrow night and brew Tuesday or Wednesday.
Anyone brewed with chamomile? I'm pretty pleased with my farmhouse wit but think that I will go with all fresh orange peel next time and a bit of chamomile.
ETA: I dropped the chocolate malt and went with dehusked carafa for my pumpkin rye saison. I started getting worried that the chocolate would be too much for it.

I have a brett farmhouse batch sitting around that has chamomile, hibiscus, and rosemary. All you need to know is that a little chamomile goes a long way.

I am going to try to get beers in Thursday and Friday evenings. I have a baby coming in 16 days and I need beer to share with the guests.
Baby's heritage is Irish and German (two good drinking countries) and name will be Irish in origin. Thoughts on what to brew that will be ready rather quickly? Already have an Irish Red and a Berliner Weisse on tap.

Hefes have a quick turnaround. That takes care of the German one. As for the Irish, eh, I don't know. Maybe a low gravity dry stout? Or maybe a cream ale?

Finally got it in! Gotta fill the propane tank and clean out my boil pot and ill be ready to go. The kit came with all the ingredients to make an Irish red ale, so I'll start with that.

My boil pot is like 15 gallons, that doesn't really matter does it?

15 gallon pot is perfect. It's large enough to do 5 gallon batches and not have to worry about boiling over. Plus if you decide to move up to 10 gallon batches down the road you'll be able to use the same pot.

That is no bueno, you'll have too much air space above your boil! I'll go out of my and help you out. You send me that worthless pot and I will send you my 7.5 gallon pot

Welcome to the club

So, to avoid another stuck mash, when i try my oatmeal stout again. What would be your advise?
I'm thinking the following
1) Go from 10% to 6-8% oats.
2) Buy flaked oats from Austin homebrew, rather than instant oats and toasting them.
3) Add rice hulls (How much?)
