Does anyone have any links to those fancy hop charts? I'm planning an IPA and it's been a long time sonce I've done a regular IPA. I don't know all the newer, hipper high-AA hop varieties.

That looks familiar.

As it should
If AHS carried English pale ale malt I wouldn't use Maris Otter
We will see if it matters

I appreciate your help as well, even though it wasn't as cool looking as B's.

I'm thinking a shot of hop extract for bittering and then Columbus, Amarillo, Simcoe, Citra, and Calypso. Ferment with Heady yeast.

Basic grain bill sound good? Thinking 10-12 lbs 2-row, a little crystal, and a little sugar.

You're doing it right

I like the idea of a basic grain bill because you want to hops to be front and center

Hmm... I'd be tempted to mess with things like pilsner wheat and sugar and avoid crystal all together.

Sounds good to me. I've been skipping the crystal lately as well. Just throw some carapils in and call it a day.

same here...

my IPA is just base malt + vienna + cara pils + dextrose.

If I'm getting fancy I'll throw in some caramunich for color or flaked oats, bc I like to throw flaked oats in everything.

Hoppy wheat has been dry hopping with 1oz cascade for a week. Ready to get home and get it bottled...hopefully, if all goes well this will be the last batch I have to bottle.

Got the ingredients for my Conan IPA:

6.5 lbs Marris Otter
6.5 lbs 2-row
Hop shot at 60 min
1 oz Simcoe at whirlpool
3 oz FF7C at whirlpool
1 oz Simcoe at Dry-hop
1 oz Amarillo at Dry-hop
2 oz FF7C at Dry-hop
Yeast Bay Vermont Ale yeast at 66-68

I think I might have some more citra and Simcoe at home, so the hops might be upped. FF7C is a "blend of 7 popular "C" hop varieties Cascade, Centennial, Chinook, Citra®, Cluster, Columbus and Crystal plus additional experimental varieties." This will be the hoppiest beer I've ventured to brew. Hopefully I've learned a thing or two over the years and can make a decent IPA, unlike my previous attempts.
