Haven't seen a homebrew thread in awhile. Just wondering how everyone was doing.

My Rye IPA will be ready at it's earliest point, this thursday. It fermented in primary for 9 days, and secondary for 2 weeks. By thursday will be bottled for 2 weeks. Roughly 7% ABV.

My next brew is either a coffee stout or bourbon barrel stout. Can't make a decision. May be brewing it soon, too.

Need to keg an IPA this week sometime, and brew again this weekend at the latest.

Have my Dubbel in bottles. Tasted one last week at the 4 week mark and its damn good but a little bit sweet. But still has another 2 months to go before its at its prime. Racked my Graham Cracker Porter to the secondary on Friday. Added 2oz French Oak to the secondary along w/ 2 drops of Graham Cracker Flavoring concentrate.

havent brewed in a while, but getting close. I don't want to end up with an IPA in a fermenter and not enough bottles

Haven't brewed lately. Haven't had the time.

Last thing I brewed was a few weeks back and it was an American farmhouse. The yeast blend had some brett in it, so I won't be drinking that anytime soon.

Last week I kegged up a Belgian IPA for our brew-club brew-off next week. Pretty much a Ruination clone with a Belgian yeast. It turned out about like all my other IPA attempts, which is to say underwhelming. Better than previous IPA attempts, but I guess I should just admit that there are certain styles I just can't brew, but I'm determined to make one that satisfies me and tastes like a good commercial example.

A pretty good while assuming it's stored properly. LME is the one that goes bad quickly.

Factory sealed in a dry location, though I've used some for starters that I got out of ziplock bags I found in the bottom of all my brew stuff that were Lord knows how old.

that's my plan, to use it for a starter, but don't want to have to throw out what I don't use. I'll just vaccuum seal it and keep it in a cool dry spot

My Chimay Clones did not explode in my bathtub!

Getting ready to brew this Saturday.

Good for the most part.

Trying to bottle 3 different beers for the next two competitions coming up plus about to add Pecans and Vanilla beans to the Pumpkin Pie Porter for Oktoberfest hopefully. Might be cutting it close on that one though.
Then it looks like we'll be re-brewing for a few competitions and stuff in November. Good times.

Glad it's about to get a little cooler too.

I've been too busy with work and other stuff to really get some brewing in. But I am getting back into the saddle on Thursday after work. I have to brew this week for an event the first week in November and I want the beer to sit for about a month.

Brewing 10 gallons for the first time on my own system (minus borrowing a finished keggle from Boo) so I am excited. Starters are going at the moment.

Still on the 1 gallon system, but that will change soon. Tried my basil wheat the last 2 days, and it's tasty. Brewed a pumpkin ale Sunday afternoon and it's happily fermenting now. Will rack to secondary this weekend then brew a pumpkin wheat. After that, it will be time to upgrade to a larger brewing system. Then I suppose I'll have to build a kegerator. And get all the equipment for that. This shite is getting expensive.

You're really getting after it!

What's the story on the pumpking?

Yeah... I need a mash-tun pretty bad so I can start brewing all-grain and save on extract costs.

The story is I must have thrown an extra 'g' onto the end there.

Not brewing a Pumking clone.
