I would eat 50 at least.

At some point they started limiting it to like a dozen per person during happy hour. Well, our trips to Destin involved my parents, my brothers, their wives, and all our kids. So my brothers and I were the “main” oyster eaters. So we’d have all the little kids order a dozen each as well for us to eat.

The last year or two we went before we migrated further east toward 30a for our vacations, the place had gone downhill. Smelled bad, oysters wood be on red tray floating in water, a little funky.

FUBAR is about six years old...not exactly "old school dive."

True but it’s vibe is very divey to me

We’ve been going to FWB for years but I don’t recall what it was before FUBAR

Miller’s Ale House

I love Miller's, and it has its place, but NOT on vacation.

The Boathouse personified dive on the water...

Not really a hole in the wall but make the short drive down to Santa Rosa and go to Shunk Gully.

They still have a snowball stand there as well? Gotta get a pink lady stuffed snowball.

As far as I know. Haven’t been down there in two years.

Place is better than I thought it would be. Amazing cultivated oysters.

It was Helen Back for a long stretch before FUBAR.

The location has remained the same, but the pizza has gone to shite.

Dewey Destin and boathouse have fit this bil! Boathouse seems to have a lot of charter boat captains and locals from what I could gather. Both were great though!

Never once not enjoyed myself at Dewey’s. Even the gulls add a solid beach vibe to the joint.
