April Fools!

Really the joke is on me though because the wife bought tickets that day and told me later before I could stop her

You have to take what you can get, you know.

As for the Stones, if it was 1969, I would be first in line. Today, no.

There was an ATM right next to the top up booth. If they're too stupid to figure that out then I really feel sorry for them.

Come to hogs, we give you a wristband so you don’t have to handle cash. However the only way it will work is if you pay an ATM fee and use cash to load your cashless wristband.

That’s brilliant.

Oh come on. Clearly that wasn't their original plan but it was a simple solution when something beyond their control went wrong.

I’m aware that wasn’t their original plan, but don’t lecture people from your high horse about a solution that made no sense to anyone at the time.

Especially when no one was out there to tell you that was the answer.

When customers told us they had to top up before they could purchase anything, I'd tell them to do it on their phone. It took me all of five minutes to add money without waiting in line. I'm not sure if some of you people realized this. No one on our team heard any one having issues with money not being on their wristband that they had paid for.

We did this....

And then the money showed up on our phone and not on our wristband

I was doing that with no issues until around 3:30pm Saturday. Then the wheels came off. My account would show funds, but wristband would show zero. People were nice and a sweet girl took mercy and just gave the wife and I two Jucifers. We would have stayed longer, but just got frustrated. Great event, cause and music was just held back by confusion. I have faith they will make adjustments.

Honestly nobody told me either, and for that I agree, they're wrong. I just kinda figured it out or maybe I just got lucky and it worked. I don't know.

Also, from my understanding, you are also wrong

Adding cash to your account still would not have showed up once they were having issues. The lync was broken between online and the wristband. Adding cash simply would have shown up online and not on the wristband as well. From Hogs mouth themselves....

So not only are you being a turd, you are being an incorrect turd

All I know is I went to buy a t-shirt at the t-shirt trailer. I overheard people saying they were having trouble topping up with credit cards on their phone, which I had been doing earlier in the day as well. So I went to the top up booth, gave them cash (enough for the shirt + a little extra), and returned to the t-shirt trailer and bought my shirt with no problem. Then I continued to use the additional money to buy more food.

Based on this, the way I understand the system to work is that it operates on a closed loop system. It requires internet to process credit cards but if you pay cash it loads it on there with no problem. I have no inside knowledge on this and I'm really just guessing but it makes sense.

They were having issues with the system all weekend. On Friday about half of the teams registers weren't working for the first 1.5-2 hours after the gates opened so we couldn't sell anything.

Whoever the company in charge of that system is will probably not be invited back next year

I topped up on my phone at around 5pm and it took 30 minutes to show up on the wristband. Not a big deal.
