Any idea what the uber/lyft/cab situation will be like Friday night? I've had a terrible time getting home after some shows at the arena in the past.

This

surges are going to be insane.

I plan on driving and parking in the neighborhood next to that shopping center and the lakefront arena

Uber was super easy for me going out there and coming back on Thursday and Saturday last year.

Have you parked there before (i.e. is it safe)? Going to a concert there on Sunday and wouldn't mind the free parking

Yes. I parked there last year. It’s a good neighborhood and easy to get in and out of.

I had no problem last year too, but it was luck moreso than anything else. The Uber there was easy, but the surge to go home was pretty insane when I looked. It just so happened that people weren’t familiar with Lyft yet (or maybe there’s no surge for it?) so I got a Lyft instead for just a few bucks.

I’m going to just pay the $10 event parking if that’s doable this year.
