Get a whole grilled fish with salsa verde. That's their signature item.

I really liked the small plate of ground shrimp with noodles. It's good and spicy. I'm making it tonight with the recipe Gris Gris got from them.

Get some sides too.

Cauliflower, brussels sprouts or white beans.

Get some of those delicious, expensive west coast oysters.

No, he's not wrong. The fish sticks are fricking delicious. I order them every single time we go.

The fried bread is good. Get the royal reds if available.

To be honest, I had a bad experience with the Reds last time I went. Maybe it was an off day, but they were overcooked and the shells were stuck.

That really sucks considering what you paid for them. I have had them a few times and they were great. If you talked to the manager they probably would have brought you out some more done right

Had the exact experience with the Reds. Very overcooked and difficult to peel.

The beef tartare is freaking amazing.

Oh, no doubt they would have. Everything else was on point, so I just let it be.

By the way, OP, get a dozen raw (at least). They prepare their oysters extremely well.

Yeah, glad I'm not the only one. Reds are notoriously easy to overcook, though. I'm lucky enough to have a direct source to them so I cook them often. Thought I might have just been over analyzing
