4 Quart Dutch oven in Truffle White or Graphite. If you wanted one, they probably won't be any cheaper.

You can do a small batch of gumbo and probably serve 4 people.

Yeah, I think I’m looking for something bigger. This is a nice deal though.

Looks nice. We use ours for that, too. Also for cooking a hen to make broth.

Same here. Got the 5 quart a couple of years ago and now it is mine and my wife’s favorite piece to cook in.

I'm wondering if the 4 qt. is a little too small...... I usually cook for 4.

If you use Honey, or coupon code SBG1487 you save an extra $10.

I have a $40 Lodge and a $400 Le Creuset. Use them both interchangeably.

Unless someone can tell me the difference between cast iron of Lodge and cast iron from Staub. I think the cast iron will heat up and cook the same.

Also, the best restaurants and chefs that I know cooking your food, is not overly worried about high end name brand pots & pans unless, they have stake in it.It seems that folks who have fancy cookware, somehow think the food taste better, just saying. I like my restaurant grade pots & pans and my Lodge cast iron. Seems I have not had any complaints. The one Chinese made Cajun brand jambalaya pot lid I have, is a little warped. But still cooks a great Jambalaya without any issues.

Please educate me. How is expensive cast iron different than Lodge cast iron?

I think they (enameled Cast iron) are easier to keep clean and cook tomato sauce based foods better.

For the record I have both and use both of them, just not for the same things.

I didn't know the choice of how a person chose to spend their money on a Dutch oven would be so controversial.

By the way, I am happy you own a set of chef pans. Not everyone has the money to be able to buy those.

I understand maybe for enamel. I do not cook in enamel cast iron, I never really understood the reasoning.

Damn MD! Nice collection!

My chef pans are nothing special. Simple skillets and pots nothing fancy.
