I do know that they are actually working. I know some folks that have been in the plant and seen actual sample pies being made. That being said, no clue how close they are to opening back up.

The boy who cried Hubigs...

I said something similar in a previous thread. I wish they'd just shut up, put their head down, get these little delicious bastards crankin, and THEN let us know right before they're about to hit shelves.

Instead every 9-12 months we get an article from the Advocate about how they're almost ready to go, they're about to start hiring, they're just waiting on one piece of vintage equipment being shipped over from Portugal, they're perfecting the recipe, wait now they're about to start hiring again, etc etc. Quit yanking our dicks and just deliver already.

Yes I'm bitter. I'll take an apple please.

I'm not a Louisiana native so I've never eaten one of these, nor do I know the full story behind their issues, but they've been closed since Katrina hit, right?

What have they been doing for the last 17 years?

I remember when they were taking donations in 2013 to rebuild. They promised everyone who contributed a case of pies when they opened. I wonder where all that money went?

They were making pies til around 2012 or 2013.

The last 9-10 they’ve been hoaxing us about returning.

The last one was about 2 years ago.

They’ll never come back. And if they do, theyll be overpriced and nowhere near as good as people remember. Disappointment either way.
