Heating/Reheating Large Quantity of Rice

Wife is a schoolteacher and they are having some sort of cultural exchange thing tomorrow. As such, she has asked me to cook gumbo for approx 50 kids that they will eat for lunch tomorrow as part of a program.
My gumbo takes several hours to cook and I am unable to take time off in the morning to cook it. So my plan is to cook the gumbo this evening, refrigerate overnight, and send it with her to school in the morning along with two large crockpots that can be used to reheat the gumbo. (She is unable to use any stoves, etc in the cafeteria to reheat it, and we can't find anyone that can deliver it to her hot at lunch time).
My issue is the rice. I've never reheated rice before in a large quantity. I don't really like reheating it at all, but if I need to, it's a bowl at a time in a microwave.
Anyone have any good ideas for reheating rice, given the lack of a kitchen to do so? I don't think a crockpot would work, right? And if she reheats it before work, it will probably be cold in the 4-5 hours before lunch.
Thanks in advance!

Put cold rice in the bowl, put piping hot gumbo on top. Rice will cool the gumbo, gumbo will heat the rice. It will be perfect to eat, I do that often.

When you say cold rice, like right out the fridge cold, or should it set for a while to get closer to room temp?

rinse it in a colander under hot water

Take it out the fridge in the AM , serve it at lunch, you'll be fine.

Room temp rice will be fine with the gumbo. I cook a large quantity in a rice cooker sometimes, turn it off, leave it out and it's fine with gumbo.

Thanks. That's what we are doing. Sent the wife to school with a crock pot full of gumbo that she plugged in when she got to school and put on warm, and told her to just leave the rice in the big covered bowl on a table.

I've done this. For Red Cross fundraiser I've cooked for in the past I've needed rice for gumbo and red beans about mid morning on a Saturday so I would cook the rice the afternoon before and refrigerate then early the morning of I'd take it out and let it get to room temperature. Worked perfectly fine.
BTW, it was for 25 gals. of gumbo or red beans.
