Headed to Erath…recommendations for on the way…

From BR. I see there’s about 3 routes which all take the same time give or take 5/10 min
What should I eat on the way? Quick, hole in the wall, casual sit down, something to eat in my truck….whatever

What time is your meeting / appointment ?
If you can do lunch in Lafayette, Laura II’s is a no brainer. The stuffed turkey wings are 2 lbs. and the real deal.
If you want to do lunch closer to Erath, Abbeville is 15 min away. Solid food choices at Shucks, Riverfront, Dupuys.
Cafe Jefferson at Rip Van Winkle gardens is just off Hwy 14 . Food is very good and a solid view of Lake Peignuer. Hrs of operation 11a-3p

While I agree that Rip Van Winkle Gardens is an amazing experience, no need to go far off the beaten path. While Scott claims to be the boudin capital, Broussard was the original hotspot, and there are lots of good dining options.

But I do agree there's a ton of great dining options in Broussard, from your delicious down and dirty plate lunches from places like Ton's, to sit down nice seafood and steak restaurants, like Riverside Inn.
And there are good boudin joints in Broussard.

it's only 2 miles and 3 min off Hwy 14. OP is gonna pass right in front of RVW property when driving on Hwy 14 headed to Hwy 90

J/K but Po-Boys Riverside Inn, LT's for dining and Chops and Billeauds for Cajun Meats are good options

Had lunch at Fezzo's in Broussard. Not a food snob but it was very good IMO.

Nash's, although upscale and not casual.
Prejean's: Tim Metcalf's place that used to be Hook and Boil under different ownership. Can't go wrong there.
