Has anyone tried EZ Bombs?

They look like bath bombs but it is all the seasonings that you need to make birria. Just throw one in the pot with the meat and water. I ordered 2 and just received. Will be trying soon. The woman that makes them is getting pretty TikTok famous.

I've made birria a few times, but never used EZ Bombs. Making the salsa is the hard part/key. Once that is done, you just marinate and cook the beef in it.

My wife got something similar for me a few Christmases ago - but these made soups. You put them in boiling water, then added meat, beans, etc. They were pretty solid.

I checked out the ingredients and they are using the right chiles. It certainly would be easier. I can't imagine it being bad, but whether it is as good and getting the chiles yourself and preparing the salsa, who knows.
EZ Bomb
When I make birria, I make the salsa and then marinate the beef in the salsa overnight before cooking it. You wouldn't be able to do that step.

No and I wouldn’t. It’s much cheaper to go to your spice cabinet where you can adjust the spices you prefer.

Making a batch tonight with one will let you know how it is

She made a super dehydrated seasoning and marketed it as the most popular mex mex tex dish currently available.
People also make dry mole seasonings. Yeah…it doesn’t work.
You can drop that in a pot and you’ll get some shredded spicy beef but it won’t have the total flavor, won’t have the true chile punch, and the fatty part won’t even hit right because it wasn’t braised properly.

They have MSG

I bought a two pack of spiceorbs from Amazon. Made tacos last week. The wife said it was one of the best things I have ever made. I need to get better at the actual taco part, but this is something we will do regularly with smaller chuck roasts.

They have MSG and artificial flavors and colors so I stopped using EZ Bombs. There are all natural bomb Birria bombs made by Instabombs.com. I use my instant pot with chuck roast for tacos and then use the leftovers for Birria Ramen. It’s so easy and good and have all the authentic chiles too. I don’t think I’ll ever make Birria from scratch again. All I need to do is drop a bomb and add water. It’s hard to mess up, my son even makes it for his friends.
Instabombs made my whole family shite for a week
