What cosmo said. I also recommend one of their specialty drinks from the bar, and they usually have a good duck large plate. Shrimp and grit cake is good. Byob no corkage FYI.

Oh ya, F&DB

she's not preachy about it and she doesn't care what I eat, so who gives a shite

it just limits the restaurants we can go to a little bit... so we eat a lot of asian, italian, and mediterranean stuff.

I am taking a girl on a date and I hardly know at all. Would you reccomend this place for a first date, while keeping in mind that it is pretty much a blind date?

Yes and it is really good. Try boudin balls and the French fries as apps. Deserts are slammin too. I'd highly recommend this especially as a date place.

ETA It's real small and intimate so maybe not the best for a blind date but she will probably be impressed by the choice nonetheless

Also, wrong board.

I always forget about the Food and Drink Board. I assumed FADB was something similar to WYHI or FTW, or something like that.

Thanks for the insight, this helps a lot!

Im requesting this be moved to the other board

It's good and reasonably priced

If you like smoked meats then you'll love it because that's what they feature there

It's almost upscale BBQ if that makes any sense. The Thai Chili Chocolate Chess Pie is an interesting dessert and a lot of people rave about the bread pudding.

Boudin balls are solid and there are usually a few good pork dishes. Their menu does change from time to time.

Duck Confit is great there

Why do people get shite every time they post something about food -- F&D board and such.
Yet there is a lunch thread every single day...does this go unnoticed?
